Just getting started

We recently sent out a special edition of our monthly newsletter (if you'd like to recieve TheHansonsinGuatemala newsletter, just send us an email) detailing some of the work we've completed in our 8 months in Guatemala, as well as our plans for the coming year. This may be old news to some of you, but we want to make sure everyone is aware of our plans for the coming year! In 2007, when we decided to come to Casa Shalom, our intention was to stay for one year. The end of that year is rapidly approaching, but we both feel that our ministry at Casa Shalom has just begun! We thank God that He is using us in great ways to minister to the kids of the orphanage and the school, and He has expanded our ministry to include some very needy kids in Rio Bravo. We are currently in the process of raising funds to stay in Guatemala for at least another year. We believe that the Lord isn't yet finished with us in Guatemala and we ask that you pray that He provides a way for us to continue ministering here!
